Top Ten Tuesday: Autumn TBR

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s theme is Books on my Autumn TBR (or Spring depending on your hemisphere). This was quite difficult, because I don’t usually plan out my TBR’s to more than just the few I want to focus on during the month. But I suppose these are the 10 books I would really like to finish during the next three months. Apologies if there are any crossovers between the books mentioned here, and in my latest TBR post.

The YA Chronicles 'Squad Goals' September box

This was my first book box for this year, because money has been tight.
But, I had to get this one because I had a feeling what the book would be, and I was very happy to be correct. So without further ado here is what was inside The YA Chronicles ‘Squad Goals’ box.

Top Ten Tuesday banner made by The Broke and the Bookish

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week is a freebie week, where we got to select what kind of character traits to highlight. So since I have recently been reading more books that feature characters with mental illness, and I myself am battling depression and anxiety. So here are 10 characters with mental illness, and books that I believe actually show a realistic view on mental health.

Summertime Madness | Book Tag

Summer time Madness tag header image, all books piled together

As today is the official last day of summer (for the Southern Hemisphere at least), I wanted to do this tag in honour of that. Although the heat will probably stick around for most of March. I was inadvertently tagged by AlwaysandForeverReading who tagged everyone in the Southern Hemisphere, so as an Australian I was tagged.

“Second hand books are full of memories”

I know people often talk about the feeling that lingers after you finish reading a great book. When the words from that book are still wrapped around you, lingering. I don’t often feel like that. But, finishing Words in Deep Blue made me feel that and more.

“This is a love story. It’s the story of Howling Books, where readers write letters to strangers, to lovers, to poets. It’s the story of Henry Jones and Rachel Sweetie. They were best friends once, before Rachel moved to the sea. Now she’s back, working at the bookstore, grieving for her brother Cal. She’s looking for the future in the books people love, and the words they leave behind.” – summary from Goodreads
